Your hospital stay

General instructions and information

Prior to your admission to an indicated (following an indicated examination by a CDR physician) and planned hospitalization at the RNB Mental Rehabilitation Center, you will be contacted by the front desk staff to provide you with a specific date and time for your admission.

On the day of admission, you will report to the reception desk in the atrium at the designated time. The reception staff will direct you to the ward where you will be admitted. Upon arrival, you will be met by the nursing staff who will brief you on the ward, its programme and rules. You will be accommodated in single or double rooms, which have private bathroom facilities.

During your treatment, experienced staff are always available to answer any questions and try to resolve any problems. Your comfort and sense of security is our top priority.

What to bring

It is not advisable to bring large amounts of money and valuables to the hospital. It is forbidden to carry weapons and addictive substances.

Some toiletries may be purchased in the cafeteria in the CDR atrium.

Consent for hospitalization

As part of your admission, you must sign a consent for hospitalization form. You will be commenting on the circumstances of the stay (e.g. information to loved ones, identification bracelet, etc.). You can view the form here.

How to reach us

The Mental Rehabilitation Center is part of the Beroun Rehabilitation Hospital, you will find it in Building S at the back of the campus, on your left. The receptionist at the entrance to the hospital will be happy to help you.

The hospital can be found at Prof. Veselého 493, 266 56 Beroun 1.

By car

The hospital is easy to reach by car, it is on Prof. Veselý Street and is easily visible from afar.

There is a spacious outdoor car park on the right hand side in front of the entrance to the premises. Parking on the hospital premises is only available to holders of ZTP and ZTP/P cards.

By public transport

Right next to the hospital you will find the Beroun public transport stop Profesora Veselý. Bus line 825 stops there.

For intercity buses, we recommend using the U Slavaše bus stop, from which it takes about twenty minutes on foot to reach the hospital.

If you take the train, it takes about half an hour on foot from the Beroun train station to the hospital. Some trains also stop at the Beroun-Závodí station, which is closer to the hospital (about a twenty-minute walk).

On foot

Although the Beroun Rehabilitation Hospital is located on the outskirts of the city, you can easily reach it on foot. It shouldn't take you more than half an hour to walk from the centre of Beroun.

Parking

Directly below the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun there is a parking lot with a parking meter and a capacity of 268 parking spaces:

After paying the parking fee, leave the car park within 30 minutes.

Parking in the hospital area is not allowed!

The only exception is for ZTP and ZTP/P card holders, who can park free of charge on the hospital grounds for 4 hours in designated spaces. However, their vehicle must have a special marking No. 07 and they must present their personal disability card at the concierge desk Parking on the hospital premises for longer than 30 minutes is charged at CZK 60 per 30 minutes for each additional half hour.

Loss of a parking ticket is charged at CZK 3,000.

Visiting rules

Patients can receive unlimited visits, but always taking into account their health condition, ward regime and programme and co-patients. Visits to patients' rooms are not appropriate.

The recommended visiting hours vary from ward to ward depending on the specifics of the therapeutic programme underway.

Visits must respect the running of the ward and staff regulations. It is also forbidden to bring prohibited items such as sharp objects, weapons or addictive substances into the CDR.

Café

In your free time, you can also use the café, located in the atrium of the CDR. In addition to coffee, tea, pastries and deli items, you can also buy some basic groceries or basic toiletries there. The café is also open to the public, making it an ideal place to meet people who have come to visit you.

Payments at the café can be made in cash or by credit card.
