Residential care for adolescents
This comprehensive therapeutic program is designed for adolescents ages 14 to 18 with psychiatric disorders for whom outpatient group therapy is appropriate. These include anxiety and depressive disorders, sleep disorders, ADHD, and psychological problems related to schooling and adolescence.
It takes the form of group psychotherapy and allows you to meet with peers who have similar psychological problems. In addition to group therapy, it includes individual therapy, occupational therapy, art therapy, relaxation and other supportive activities such as sports, social games or other creative activities.
The residential programme lasts for 6 weeks and patients come to the residential centre every working day from 8 am to 3 pm. Those interested can use the option of ordering lunch and a ride from the centre of Beroun to the hospital.
The program also includes schooling, so participation in the residential care does not lead to excessive absenteeism that would disrupt the patients' schooling.
