Day Treatment Center for Adults
The adult psychiatric day treatment center offers a comprehensive psychotherapeutic program for patients over the age of 18 who need support during follow-up care after hospitalization in a psychiatric facility or assistance during a period of decompensation of their primary mental illness. This is a structured therapeutic program provided on an outpatient basis. The goal is to stabilize mental health, promote independence, manage symptoms, and strengthen the skills needed for daily life.
The daily program includes group psychotherapy, community meetings with a psychologist and psychiatrist, training in techniques to better manage mental health challenges, and complementary therapies such as art therapy, movement therapy, bibliotherapy, and creative activities.
Patients join the day program on an ongoing basis, which fosters group dynamics. The maximum number of patients in a group is fourteen. This helps maintain an intimate atmosphere that allows for intensive work in a safe and supportive environment.
The program runs every weekday from 8:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. for a maximum of six weeks. Participants may opt to order lunch.
Part-Time Day Program for the Treatment of Insomnia
The day treatment program for patients suffering from insomnia is part of the Sleep Medicine Center operating at CDR and focuses on patients who have been struggling with insomnia for a long time. As part of its psychotherapy program, the day treatment center incorporates elements of CBT and familiarizes patients with the principles of healthy sleep while teaching them appropriate techniques to support the treatment of insomnia.
Each session also includes a physiotherapy component, during which patients learn relaxation and movement techniques under the supervision of an experienced physiotherapist.
The day treatment program consists of five sessions, each lasting three hours and held once a week.
Who is the day treatment program suitable for:
Patients diagnosed with chronic insomnia by a specialist or a physician from the Center for Sleep Medicine
Before being enrolled in the day treatment group, patients can undergo an evaluation at the CDR’s insomnia outpatient clinic.
Day Treatment Center for Adolescents
This comprehensive therapeutic program is designed for adolescents aged 14 to 18 with mental health disorders for which outpatient group therapy is appropriate. These primarily include anxiety and depressive disorders, sleep disorders, ADHD, and mental health issues related to school and adolescence.
The program takes the form of group psychotherapy and provides opportunities to interact with peers who have similar mental health challenges. In addition to group therapy, it includes individual therapy, occupational therapy, art therapy, relaxation techniques, and other supportive activities such as sports, social games, and other creative pursuits.
The day program lasts 6 weeks; patients attend the center every weekday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Those interested can arrange for lunch and transportation from the center in Beroun to the hospital.
The program also includes school instruction, so participation in the day care center does not lead to excessive absences that would disrupt the continuity of the patients’ schooling.

Day Treatment Center for Children Ages 12 to 15
The day program is designed for children aged 12 to 15 attending middle school who have difficulties with school attendance and for whom group outpatient therapy is appropriate. It provides education in a calm and welcoming environment and allows children to interact with peers who have similar mental health challenges. A key benefit is that the program includes regular school instruction. Within this framework, children receive individualized attention that helps them gradually return to normal functioning. The group itself is small, consisting of no more than eight members, and its intimate atmosphere contributes to more effective treatment.

The Triple P Positive Parenting Program
This group, focused on developing parenting skills, is intended for all parents. Participation in the program is not contingent on a psychiatric diagnosis of the child or the parents, as its principles can be applied in all families.
The Triple P method teaches parents the skills they need to raise confident, healthy children and adolescents and build stronger family relationships. It does not tell people how to be parents. Rather, it introduces simple and practical strategies that they can adapt to their own values, beliefs, and needs.
The program includes four group sessions with other parents, three individual consultations with a trainer, and a final group session.
Specific dates and times for the sessions will be announced soon. However, you can already register using the registration form.
