About the Programme
The 12-day residential program at the Center for Mental Rehabilitation is primarily designed to diagnose attention deficit disorder in adults. The goal of the program is to confirm or rule out the presence of ADHD or other attention disorders that may manifest as impaired concentration, impulsivity, or difficulty with time management. Based on the results of the examination, treatment is then initiated if necessary, and patient education is also part of the program.
The strength of the program is the presence of a multidisciplinary team consisting of psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, psychologists, neurologists, addictionologists, nutritional therapists, sleep specialists and movement and creative therapists. Through this collaboration, we are able to gain a comprehensive view of each patient's condition and design an individualized plan for future care.
The program includes professional psychological evaluations, psychoeducational blocks, community meetings, movement and creative activities, and support in coping with the daily challenges associated with ADHD.
All health care is fully covered by health insurance. Participants pay for their own accommodation in superior single rooms only. The cost is 2,100 CZK per day, for a total of 25,200 CZK per stay.
Advantages of the program
Targeted and comprehensive psychological diagnostics
Each patient undergoes targeted and comprehensive psychodiagnostics - standardized psychological tests, clinical interviews and observations, personality questionnaires and other clinical methods testing attention and cognitive functions.
Diagnosis of movement
Under the guidance of movement therapists, examinations are conducted to assess body posture, movement patterns, muscle balance and movement coordination.
Basic sleep diagnostics
During the nighttime examination, we measure breathing activity, heart rate or blood oxygenation using a special device.
Multidisciplinary approach
Diagnosis and recommendations are based on the collaboration of experts from different fields.
Educational blocks
Hourly presentations on topics related to attention disorders are given daily. For example, how attention disorders affect sleep or nutrition, or how they relate to substance or non-substance addictions.
Community support
Group activities, sharing experiences and guided relaxation promote not only mental well-being but also self-knowledge.
Movement activities
The programme includes regular physical activities that contribute to overall balance and recovery.
A modern and stimulating environment
Opened in 2023, the Mental Rehabilitation Centre provides a pleasant and tranquil environment with innovative lighting that promotes natural biorhythms.
Sample daily routine
The day begins with a 7:20am wake-up call, followed by morning hygiene and activation exercises. After breakfast, there is a regular visit during which clients can discuss their condition and difficulties with the attending physician. After the rounds, there is a community meeting where patients share their experiences and help each other.
The rest of the morning is spent in individual psychological and movement diagnostics or an interview with the doctor.
After lunch, psychoeducation comes next. During these sessions, the nursing staff focuses on one area related to ADHD and other attention disorders at a time. During these sessions, patients learn how to better manage difficulties related to their diagnosis. Psychoeducation is followed by complementary therapies, most often physical or creative activities. Of course, each patient also has time for an individual programme and rest.
At the end of the day, after dinner, the clients have an evening of relaxation and reflection on the day. Night rest starts at 22:00, until then everyone has an individual free program.
