A psychotherapy program focused on ADHD is accepting new patients. New run starts in March

The Centre for Mental Rehabilitation (CDR) in Beroun is reopening a special psychotherapy programme for adults and young adults aged 17 and over diagnosed with ADHD. It aims to help clients cope with their diagnosis through support, education and practical experience. The four-week course starts on March 2 and treatment is fully covered by insurance.

The structure of the programme is the work of the leading Czech psychiatrist Prof. Ján Praško Pavlov, M.D., Csc., together with the head of the department , Tereza Petrásková, M.D., Ph. The treatment combines a wide range of activities - from psychoeducational meetings, through group and individual psychotherapy sessions, to complementary therapies focused on sports and creative activities.

The CDR team has extensive experience in working with attention deficit disorders. Since spring 2025, the Centre has been running a twelve-day diagnostic and educational programme aimed at diagnosing disorders, complemented by psychoeducational modules and complementary activities. The programme has received excellent feedback.

The psychotherapeutic programme, which may or may not build on previous treatment at CDR, is the next logical step, as the head of both programmes, Tereza Petrásková, M.D., Ph.D., explains. It is good to know it, but it is at least as important to know how to work with it. Our goal is therefore to offer clients comprehensive care and help at all stages," she says.

Anyone interested in participating in the program who has an official diagnosis from their psychiatrist or psychologist can make an appointment for an assessment with the department coordinator by emailing balikova@nember.cz.
