Mental Rehabilitation Center offers new program for ADHD patients

30. 9. 2025

The Centre for Mental Rehabilitation (CDR) in Beroun offers a new psychotherapy programme for adults and young adults aged 17 and over diagnosed with ADHD. It aims to help clients cope with their diagnosis through support, education and practical experience. The first run starts on Oct. 13 and treatment is fully covered by insurance.

The programme lasts for four weeks and is led by the leading Czech psychiatrist prof. MUDr. Ján Praško Pavlov Csc., together with the head of the department MUDr. Tereza Petrásková, Ph. It combines a wide range of activities - from psychoeducational meetings, through group and individual psychotherapy sessions, to complementary therapies focused on sports and creative activities.

The CDR team has extensive experience in working with attention deficit disorders. Since this spring, we have been offering a twelve-day diagnostic-educational programme at Cetnr, which aims to diagnose disorders complemented by psychoeducational modules and complementary activities. The programme has had great feedback.

The newly introduced psychotherapy program, which may or may not build on previous treatment at CDR, is thus the next logical step, as explained by the lead physician of both programs , Tereza Petrásková, M.D., Ph.D. "We know that the diagnosis of ADHD is just the beginning. It is good to know it, but it is at least as important to know how to work with it. Our goal is therefore to offer our clients comprehensive care and help at all stages," she says.

Anyone interested in participating in the programme who has an official diagnosis from their psychiatrist or psychologist can make an appointment for an indication by calling +420 311 745 888 or emailing recepceCDR@nember.cz.
