CDR Beroun Symposium
One of the absolute highlights of the whole conference was a separate professional symposium entitled Chronobiology and Psychotherapy in Modern Psychiatric Treatment, which was organized by CDR physicians.
In this session, CDR physicians and therapists explained how to effectively combine biological rhythms with psychotherapeutic approaches. There were also lectures focused on the treatment of sleep disorders in patients with ADHD and affective disorders, as well as modern methods of working with borderline personality disorder symptoms.
Innovation, research and sharing of experience
In addition to the symposium itself, deputies of the Center actively participated in the overall conference program. For example , they presented pilot data from online Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) based programmes to help clients with anxiety and depression.
They also enriched the program with hands-on workshops focusing on schema therapy, modern approaches to treating PTSD, and deeper insights into psychosomatic indicators (such as assessing heart rate variability). Younger colleagues then appreciated the discussion session on attestation and tribal exams.
We would like to thank all our colleagues for their excellent representation of the Mental Rehabilitation Centre and for their contribution to the development of modern Czech psychiatry.
