Representatives of the creative therapeutic workshops of the Centre for Mental Rehabilitation, which is part of the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun, ceremoniously handed over blankets for babies in the sister hospital Hořovice. They were knitted by patients during creative therapies from yarn suitable for newborns.

"I am proud of all the patients who have contributed to the creation of these blankets. It takes three to four hours to knit one. These blankets are so often the result of the work of several people," said Ing. et Bc. Zuzana Rothanzlová DT, JOP-therapist at the Centre for Mental Rehabilitation, who works with these patients in the creative studio.

Fifteen soft hand-knitted blankets were received by the head of the neonatal ward of Hořovice Hospital, Milena Dokoupilová, MD."We appreciate very much that the patients of the Beroun Mental Rehabilitation Centre created them for us under the guidance of therapists. The right baby blanket keeps the baby adequately warm, gives him a feeling of security, and thus induces a more peaceful sleep," said MUDr. Milena Dokoupilová.

Head of the creative studio Ing. et Bc. Zuzana Rothanzlová, on the other hand, thanked her colleagues from the hospital in Hořovice. "By taking over the blankets from us and using them for newborn babies, they give our work an additional and very deep meaning. We are very happy to continue our cooperation," Rothanzlová added.
