Under the leadership of the Chief Medical Officer Michal Risler, DPS Ondřejov emphasizes individual care and a human approach focused on the individual. DPS Ondrejov was established in 1986 on the initiative of three professionals specialising in community psychotherapeutic care. Since 2010 it has been based in a villa in Hodkovičky, Prague, and employs thirty professionals. It includes a centre for the comprehensive treatment of psychosis, a department for the treatment of addictions, a social department and an art studio. It focuses on people who are ill or at risk of psychotic disorders or who suffer from addiction to alcohol, gambling machines or drugs. It also supports family members of people with psychotic illnesses. It offers clients day residential care, group therapy and support programmes.
