Innovation Week has been held at the Prague School of Economics for the third year and each time it offers students a practical insight into a selected topical issue. Moreover, it allows them to connect their theoretical knowledge with practice. In Beroun, they gained a unique opportunity to see the daily workings of our Mental Rehabilitation Centre.
"And thus better understand the challenges and opportunities that the management of health care facilities brings," adds the lecturer of the Faculty of Management of the University of Economics Ing. Daniela Kandilaki, Ph.D., who arranged the whole excursion. "I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who made this opportunity possible, and especially to the management of the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun for their warm welcome. For us it was not only a glimpse into the working environment, but also a unique opportunity to expand our knowledge and gain valuable practical experience," added Kandilaki.
Representatives of the medical holding AKESO, under which the whole Beroun hospital falls, Mgr. Pavel Scholz and Ph.D. Mgr. Petr Krucký prepared a presentation for the students, which focused on the project of the construction of the Centre and the system of its operation. Both from the technical and personnel point of view. "We tried to show the students how difficult, but at the same time fascinating it is to manage a project of such a scale and importance and at the same time to outline a deeper insight into the issues of project management in the field of healthcare. We are proud that the University of Economics in Prague chose us for their Innovation Week," noted Scholz.
The excursion was organized by Lucie Lišková from the PR department of the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun. "We are very happy that the whole excursion was successful and the students not only enjoyed it, but also gained valuable knowledge. We are very happy to continue our cooperation and look forward to further meetings," said Lišková.
