A professional seminar on the specifics of psychiatric care for adolescents took place in Beroun

During the program, child psychiatrist Petra Uhlíková, MD, spoke about the basics of psychopharmacotherapy in adolescence. She was followed by psychiatrist and head of the Centre for Mental Rehabilitation Pavel Doubek, M.D., Ph.D., expert guarantor of the seminar, with a lecture on the indications for
and specifics of admission of underage patients to psychiatric care.

"The topic of adolescent psychiatry is very topical, the trend of psychiatric disorders in adolescents is increasing
and requires not only a professional approach, but also a sensitive perception of the individual needs of patients and their families. Unfortunately, there is also a serious shortage of specialists dedicated to this area and the availability of care is therefore not optimal. We are glad that we could offer a space for professional discussion and sharing of experience," said Dr. Doubek.

The seminar, which took place in the multifunctional hall of Hall S, also offered a space for open discussion, where participants could share their insights and questions from practice.
