The Czech Best Managed Companies (CBMC) program supports business development while recognizing leading domestic companies that are privately owned and managed. The evaluation criteria build on Deloitte' s proven global methodology and focus on areas such as strategic direction, productivity and innovation, corporate culture, management structure and financial performance. The CBMC title can be awarded repeatedly, i.e. several years in a row. Which AKESO Healthcare Holding has done again this year.
"This program provides us with important feedback on the direction of our company. We are all the more pleased that we have been ranked among the best for the fifth time in a row. For us, the past year has been all about optimizing our business processes after a tumultuous year of rising operating costs that affected not only us but many other companies across a variety of industries. We have managed to do this without having to drastically reduce our investment in the further development of our facilities. This year's award thus has a special meaning for us and is proof that AKESO Holding is a confident and strong company. This success is the result of the collective work of all our employees," said Ing. Sotirios Zavalianis, owner of AKESO Healthcare Holding, which includes, among others, the Hořovice Hospital, AKESO POLIKLINIKA, the Beroun Rehabilitation Hospital, the Mental Rehabilitation Centre and the Multiscan Oncology and Radiology Centre in Pardubice.
Like last year, a total of 29 companies were awarded this year, which undergo a multi-stage evaluation. The judging is carried out annually by an independent jury of seven experts. Companies must meet the required standard in four main pillars - strategy, productivity and innovation, management and financial performance and corporate culture.
"The winning companies demonstrate management quality at the level of the best. Long-term goals, market positioning, a well-thought-out product strategy, an adaptive corporate culture, openness to innovation and change in general, and attracting and nurturing talent are decisive. A common feature of these companies is the awareness of the scope of management and leadership. It's not just about that one idea or one strong personality, but the best-managed companies understand the importance of setting up processes that lead them to be the best in their field. Unlike intuitive management, they have a long-term strategy and all people involved know what the goal is and why," said Miroslav Svoboda, country leader of Deloitte ČR and leader of the Czech Best Managed Companies programme.
