Diagnostic and educational programmes

Do you feel that you are not functioning as well as you would like? Some everyday situations may be more challenging than you expect, or you may feel that your usual coping strategies are no longer enough. You may have unrecognised mental health difficulties that may manifest themselves differently in adulthood than before.

Our diagnostic programmes are designed for these situations. Their aim is to professionally assess your situation and confirm or refute the presence of a specific diagnosis, or to detect other difficulties that may be related to your difficulties.

The result is a diagnosis and a recommendation for further action - initiation of treatment, medication, psychotherapy or regimen. During your stay, you will learn how to better understand your difficulties and how to work effectively with them.

About the Programme

The 12-day residential program at the Center for Mental Rehabilitation is primarily designed to diagnose attention deficit disorder in adults. The goal of the program is to confirm or rule out the presence of ADHD or other attention disorders that may manifest as impaired concentration, impulsivity, or difficulty with time management. Based on the results of the examination, treatment is then initiated if necessary, and patient education is also part of the program.

The strength of the program is the presence of a multidisciplinary team consisting of psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, psychologists, neurologists, addictionologists, nutritional therapists, sleep specialists and movement and creative therapists. Through this collaboration, we are able to gain a comprehensive view of each patient's condition and design an individualized plan for future care.

The program includes professional psychological evaluations, psychoeducational blocks, community meetings, movement and creative activities, and support in coping with the daily challenges associated with ADHD.

All health care is fully covered by health insurance. Participants pay for their own accommodation in superior single rooms only. The cost is 2,100 CZK per day, for a total of 25,200 CZK per stay.

After diagnosis and completion of the programme, patients have the option of enrolling in a follow-up psychotherapy programme for patients with attention deficit disorder, which opens at CDR approximately once every six months. The programme lasts four weeks, is free of charge and helps patients to learn to work with their diagnosis. You can find out more about the psychotherapy programme here.

Advantages of the programme

Targeted and comprehensive psychological diagnosis
Each patient undergoes a targeted and comprehensive psychodiagnosis - standardized psychological tests, clinical interviews and observations, personality questionnaires and other clinical methods testing attention and cognitive function.

Diagnosis of movement
Under the guidance of movement therapists, examinations are conducted to assess body posture, movement patterns, muscle balance and movement coordination.

Basic sleep diagnostics
During the nighttime examination, we measure breathing activity, heart rate or blood oxygenation using a special device.

Multidisciplinary approach
Diagnosis and recommendations are based on the collaboration of experts from different fields.

Educational blocks
Hourly presentations on topics related to attention disorders are given daily. For example, how attention disorders affect sleep or nutrition, or how they relate to substance or non-substance addictions.

Community support
Group activities, sharing experiences and guided relaxation promote not only mental well-being but also self-knowledge.

Movement activities
The programme includes regular physical activities that contribute to overall balance and recovery.

A modern and stimulating environment
Opened in 2023, the Mental Rehabilitation Centre provides a pleasant and tranquil environment with innovative lighting that promotes natural biorhythms.

For whom the programme is suitable

Programme for the treatment and diagnosis of autism spectrum disorders

The Center for Mental Rehabilitation offers a twelve-day residential program designed primarily to diagnose autism spectrum disorders (ASD) in adults and young adults. The goal of the program is to confirm or rule out the presence of autism spectrum disorder or other neurodevelopmental difficulties, which may manifest themselves, for example, as difficulties in social communication and interaction, specific patterns of behavior and interests, heightened sensory sensitivity, or difficulties adapting to change. Based on the results of the examination, further specialist care may be initiated.

The programme also includes educational sessions aimed at providing more detailed information about PAS or developing practical skills that patients can use to improve their daily lives and interpersonal relationships.

Thanks to a team of experts, state-of-the-art treatment approaches, individualized care and the modern environment of the Mental Rehabilitation Center building, clients receive top-notch care.
